Education Spotlight: Colonial Forge Senior is a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist

A.J. Staton’s passions are math, music, and community. Stafford County Public Schools announced earlier this month that he is a semifinalist in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program—one of 16,000 high school seniors from across the country to be selected as a semifinalist for the 70th annual program.

Upcoming Program at Fredericksburg Area Museum will Explore City’s “Dark History”

Arriving with the start of Spooky Season, next week’s special program “Dark History” will feature pieces of hair jewelry from the museum’s collection, along with other “haunted objects” and stories of tragic deaths, diseases, and natural disasters that have affected Fredericksburg.
