Upcoming Events
Kings Highway Corridor Public Hearing Wednesday, October 14, 6 p.m., Stafford County Planning Commission, George L. Gordon Jr. Government Center, 1300 Courthouse Road, Stafford
The Stafford Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the Kings Highway Corridor data center assemblage, which includes the Forest Lane, Simms Farm, Sisson North, and Sisson South proposals. In what is possibly the largest rezoning request in Stafford County history, the county could more than double the amount of data center space in one night.
Together, the Kings Highway corridor projects propose approximately 11 million square feet of data center space—48 buildings, more than 100 acres of substations, and heavy industrial development across roughly 1,500 acres of farmland and forest in the George Washington District.
The applicant has described the projects as an “all or none” decision. and all four will be presented together. Residents will have one public comment period to address the combined proposal (up to 3 minutes per person).
