New Stafford Board of Supervisors member Deuntay Diggs is launching a series of four townhalls that begin Wednesday night. Each will be held at Stafford High School.
Representative for the George Washington District, Diggs stated in the introductory letter he circulated about the town halls that he’s holding these events in order to ensure “transparency.” The meetings will serve a three-fold purpose:
engage in meaningful conversation
discuss important matters
address citizens’ concerns
The commitment to transparency was central to Diggs’ run for office, and was a topic discussed in a debate with his then-opponent, now-former Board member Tom Coen, on the New Dominion Podcast in September. If you missed that episode, you can listen below.
The first Town Hall happens Wednesday night and begins at 6:00 pm. It’s scheduled to end at 8.
Subsequent meetings will be held:
Tuesday, June 27
Wednesday, September 25
Thursday, December 19
