On the 16th of July we went to Washington D.C. for the first time of the week (except when we were at the airport). We took the train at Leeland Station. The group sang the Happy Birthday song for me in English and in French. We arrived at the Capitol a little late but at the right time for a little film in the North theater. We learned that the Congress is composed of the Senate and of the House of the Representatives. After that, a guide explained us the history behind the paintings. He told us that George Washington was supposed to be buried here but he wasn't. However, there was a painting of him looking down on us from the ceiling. We also saw lot of statues (for example the statue of Rosa Parks). We met two women who work with Abigail Spanberger the representative of Fredericksburg. It is thanks to her that we went to the Congress. The two women told us what their jobs are and how they ended up here. We then saw the outside of the library of congress and after returned to the train station. It was a really good day!!

Provided extensive coverage of the cellphone bans that are sweeping local school districts.
