On Wednesday, the Fredericksburg Area Builders Association announced that Sean Miller will be joining the organization as director of government affairs.
The position is a critical one for FABA, which “seeks to develop and maintain high professional business standards with the ultimate goal of providing home ownership to all individuals and families in our area” according to the press release announcing Miller’s hiring.
In addition to serving as an advocate for FABA and its members at local government meetings, as well as lobbying for policies, plans and legislation that affects the local building community, Miller will also oversee FABA’s political action committee.
Prior to joining FABA, Miller spent three years working for Representative Claudia Tenney (NY-22), in addition to lobbying firms in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. His legislative expertise is in real estate, short-term rentals, and construction.
“Sean's extensive experience in legislative advocacy and his deep understanding of the real estate and construction sectors make him a valuable addition to our team,” said Maria Moore, Executive Officer of FABA. “We are confident that his skills and insights will greatly benefit our members and advance our mission of fostering a supportive building environment.”
Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and law from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York. His appointment aligns with FABA's commitment to strengthening its advocacy efforts and ensuring that the voices of local builders and developers are heard.
