Porter 6-4467...so long ago that phone numbers had actual words as a prefix. So fun to have Edie back!

Edie, do what I do. Always hang around with someone with a really good memory or talk to people who are good at filling in the blanks. A corollary is when you talk to a friend by phone make sure that he or she can access Google during the conversation.

I am lucky to have a good friend who can gently and kindly fill in my blanks and I can fill in hers. It has become rather a way of life for us. We believe that we are so flooded with information – largely from screens – that our brains just can’t hold all the incoming information. As a result, some information has to be stored way in the back of the brain, only to be retrieved at 3 AM or 2 days later, when you can’t even remember what the question was.

Such is life these days.

Encephalopathy is an umbrella term which includes the well-known ones, like post-traumatic encephalopathy and Alzheimer's disease, but lesser known ones, like L.A.T.E. (Limbic-predominant age-related TDP-46 encephalopathy) and many others. Early diagnosis is the best course, and a trusted primary care provider can guide you with periodic in-the-office evaluation. To ascribe the changes to aging, without medical evaluation, is a common response but not usually the best.

779-5455 my childhood phone number

779-8034 Mike Capilo

779-2627 Chris Malinowski

The list of old phone numbers is impressive but I could not tell you either of my kids’ current nunbers.
