Stop Playing Politics with Our Food
Governor Youngkin declared a state of emergency after SNAP benefits were halted, but of course took the opportunity to point fingers instead of offering any REAL solutions. We Virginians deserve better.
The “Big Beautiful Bill” (HR1) makes it harder for families to get help, adds red tape, and dumps up to $270 million in extra costs on our state. It even blocks benefit increases while food prices keep rising, thanks to tariffs and loss of crops due to lack of workers.
There’s already a federal reserve fund that could pay for November’s SNAP benefits—so why aren’t our leaders using it? And WHY is ARGENTINA getting our benefits?
They need to stop playing political games and focus on what matters: keeping food on the table and health care affordable.
