Republicans have been saying for 30-40-50 years that they wanted to destroy everything decent we've become since we quit letting people starve on the streets. To destroy dissent, and to bring on fascism.

From the Chamber of Commerce, special interest lobbyists, billionaires from here and abroad, FOP, theologists wanting everyone to bend to their religion, to your everyday hate mongers and nativists. Elections DO have consequences.
No way they could not have known something like this was going to happen. But yes, it is unnecessary and we all will suffer as a result. Those with the least most of all. Shame.

I agree with you, but It seems to me that the organizations you refer to , such as the Heritage Foundation, billionaires, members of Congress and the Supreme Court bear major responsibility for pulling the wool over Americans’ eyes. Many of us had faith and trust that our Constitution would protect us and that all Americans shared that faith and trust. We all are learning that we were wrong.
So much unnecessary suffering caused by the federal government is inhumane and inexcusable.
