There are no action items on the agenda for tonight’s meeting of the Spotsylvania School Board, but there will be an update from human resources on staff vacancies per school, as well as recognitions, a consent agenda with nine items, and a closed session. There’s also time for board member comments and superintendent comments and reports, and for potential new or unfinished business items to be introduced.
Closed Session
There are two items on the agenda for the closed session—personnel matters and consultation with legal counsel.
Recognitions
The division will recognize Student Leaders in Action; Harrison Road Elementary’s participation in the 35th annual Virginia Commonwealth Games; and Riverbend High School teacher Wunneanatsu Lamb-Cason, who was selected as the 2024 Virginia History Teacher of the Year.
Consent Agenda
The consent agenda items include the approval of three budget amendments and the approval of the fiscal year 2026 budget development calendar; approval of donations, approval of Head Start Memorandums of agreement; and approval of a contract for the replacement of the roof membrane at Salem Elementary.
