Tuesday’s special called meeting of the Stafford School Board includes two consent agenda items, three information/discussion items, and a closed session.

Closed Session
The board will hold a closed meeting for the following purposes:
To discuss and/or consider the acquisition of real property for construction of a replacement facility for Edward E. Drew Middle School, where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the board; andÂ
To consult with legal counsel and hear briefings by staff members pertaining to probable litigation concerning a certificate-of-take filed on April 16, 2024, in the Circuit Court of the County of Stafford for the acquisition of road and various easements of Tax Map #44-61A for High School 6, where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the negotiating or litigating posture of the board; andÂ
To consult with legal counsel employed or retained by the board regarding specific legal matters regarding a construction project that requires the provision of legal advice by such counsel.
