Growth is coming, whether we manage it or not. The demographics of this region are relentless and are not in anyone's control. Pretending we can somehow get the benefits of economic development without having to address social issues reflects the bubble that some of our council members and our senior staff occupy. As for public participation, government can reach out and meet people where they are. As you note, advertising and holding a public hearing is the bare minimum. Doing more, however, means getting outside the bubble and that is not likely...

Pay attention to what the community is doing, specifically the JEREMIAH PROJECT that's in the works for the areas homeless. Moreover, this city needs to keep it's charm. There's all kind of access to the town for everyone to visit and enjoy what they see.

Slow down on FAIRFAXING FREDERICKSBURG.
