"School choice isn’t the bogeyman most leftists believe it to be."

A provocative opening sentence from Mr. Kenney. An alternative might be: "School choice is more complex than many believe." We only have one chance to make a first impression.

Reminds me of a William F. Buckley line which rings true more often than not:

“Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views.”

If the insistence is somehow that the other side must grovel and abase themselves in order to receive a fair hearing, then perhaps we have stumbled upon the difference between a dialogue and a monologue? Either way, there's nothing unfactual with the thought, however unpleaseant the opinions of a good half (or more?) of our neighbors might be.
