What you call “infiltration” is growing support among Democrats for Medicare for all, funding for education, livable salaries, a fair tax code and reform of campaign finance laws so that organizations like the NRA and AIPAC can’t hold members of Congress hostage forcing them to do their bidding.
That's not what I meant by 'infiltration'. I was at the Dem Party of Virginia Central Committee mtg when DPVA Chair Susan Swecker gaveled once to bring order to the room from what was, at that time, 'the Bernie Supporters'. Since the shouting became even louder, she then ordered the Sgt-At-Arms to start the mechanical wall partition to separate them so the discussion on the floor could proceed. So hmmm, since that time, the 'evolution' of this movement has been 'fluid, organic? or 'hostile takeover'? as it grows in unwanted influence, in some cases weakening organizations, e.g, membership siphoning, that have stood up for their employees, as in public education. Teachers in public schools saw some of this 'infiltration' emerging during the pandemic when seeking posts/comments via social media on what their legit, credible National Ed Assn state affiliate was advising on 'best practice' teaching during the pandemic. Yet there were new entities, copycat groups, mimicking the name, look, and reputation of the NEA, such as Virginia Educators United instead of the NEA affiliate: Virginia Education Association. There's a significant difference between the two in ideology and in NEA's true worker protection. Could be the same sort of difference with DNC and the major left-wing Democratic Socialists of America? So is DNC considering the impact of this 'infiltration' in Virginia? Will it reduce the DNC's ability to build broad coalitions and will it start driving away the very voters needed to win elections?
Thank you so much for writing this article! Yes! Virginia! But what if DNC is concerned about the increasing infiltration and influence of the Democratic Socialists in Virginia? Like those Pro-Palestine demonstrators shouting down Joe Biden in Manassas (1-23-24)? University of Mary Washington even has the Young Democratic Socialists of America at UMW show, instead of the Young Dems at a forum/debate with the UMW College GOPs?
Most persuasive, Steve. I hope to see more of your columns in the Advance.

Great opportunity to use ranked choice voting, too!
