When Wunneanatsu Lamb-Cason was growing up in Connecticut, she hated history class. Now, the woman who taught world geography and cultures as well as African American history at Riverbend High School in Spotsylvania for 10 years, is not only a history teacher but was recently named the National History Teacher of the Year for 2024 by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
