BREAKING NEWS: Shelter-in-Place Issued for University of Mary Washington Campus

At 8:23 p.m. this evening UMW Alert issued a statement saying that “police are investigating an incident on William St. Fredericksburg Police have issued a shelter in place at which (sic) includes the Fredericksburg Campus.”
The alert was issued concerning an incident on William Street. UMW Alert said “Fredericksburg police is on the lookout of a Black Male Wearing no shirt and grey joggers last seen in the area of college ave and william street. Individual is considered armed and dangerous do not approach. If seen contact UMWPD at 540-654-4444 or 911”
