It took just over 23 minutes for the Fredericksburg School Board to agree to advance Elizabeth Rehm’s name forward to fill the Ward 3 seat vacated by Jennifer Boyd.
One citizen addressed the Board and celebrated the caliber of the four people who put their names forward for consideration.
Following a brief line of comments by Board members, it was agreed that experience should carry the day. Because Rehm had previously served on the Board, and because the term is for a mere three months, members felt selecting her was the prudent move.
Rehm will be formally voted on at the next School Board meeting on October 6. That meeting’s start time was moved back 15 minutes so the vote could be taken and Rehm can be sworn in.
