Nature is so healing and therapeutic! I have a tree in my front yard that I will go to and sit and reflect and hug. My son passed away at the age of 24 and he was 6’7” and had the nickname ‘tree’. So sitting quietly and hugging a tree makes me feel closer to my son. If this tree is local, I would feel honored to find it and hug it! Thanks for sharing

Dear Jenny. So hard to hear about your beloved son. I have two sons of my own; they are my hearts, and I cannot imagine such loss. Yes, the tree is local. I would be honored to show it to you this fall and honor his memory. Nature is therapeutic indeed. Please feel free to message me via my Substack and hopefully we can make find a mutually agreeable day and time.

I’m new to this site and substack. I believe I found you and I left a comment but was unable to message. I promise I am a real person, just new to this platform and not exceptionally tech savvy

Created a website about a black walnut tree in our backyard has changed my philosophy / theology / metaphysics and trying document that now. Such an important practice to have "that tree" in our human lives! https://ecologicalintentionality.org/

Nature has so much beauty even long after it has ceased to live.
