First to detail controversial traffic numbers submitted by Stafford staff on the Buc-ee’s project
Our media group also offers the most-extensive election coverage in the region and regular columnists like:
And our newsroom is led by the most-experienced and most-awarded journalists in the region — Adele Uphaus (Managing Editor and multiple VPA award-winner) and Martin Davis (Editor-in-Chief, 2022 Opinion Writer of the Year in Virginia and more than 25 years reporting from around the country and the world).

Thoughtful framing for MLK Day. The line about threats to freedom being fought with love cuts through alot of the surface-level commemoration we usually get. What's interesting is how that message feels simultaneously timeless and urgent right now - like we've cycled back to needing the same foundational reminder about how sustainable change actually happens. I've been thinking about how MLK's approach required both moral clarity and strategic patience, which is a tougher combo to maintain than people realize. The Parkyn letter on listening is a good companion peice - you can't fight with love if you're not actually hearing what needs addressing.
