The Fredericksburg City School Board will hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday evening. The closed session begins at 6:30 p.m. and the regular session at 7:30 p.m.
Closed Session
The Board will hold a closed session to discuss personnel matters.
Recognitions
The evening’s recognitions include, among others:
the division’s PTO/PTA leaders
Virginia School Board Association business honor roll recipients
A. Linwood Holton Governor’s School certificate of honor recipients
superintendent’s card contest winners
Excellence in Teaching award recipients
new administrative staff.
Consent Agenda
There are five items on the consent agenda:
Approval of minutes from April 1 joint School Board and Board of Supervisors work session and April 7 School Board regular meeting.
Approval of qualified firms (A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Ballou Justice Upton Architects; Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates; Moseley Architects; RRMM Architects) to provide general architectural and engineering services to the school division.
Approval of local plan for 2025-26 Carl Perkins CTE grant funds.
Approval of 2025-26 local plan for special education.
Action Item
The only action item scheduled is approval of personnel items from the closed session.

Monthly instructional update (includes discussion of new performance and support framework school hours, school start times, proposed elementary Student Success Academy)
Update on Gladys West Elementary conversion and new Walker-Grant Middle School
