Fredericksburg has always been a writer’s town. Now, it’s becoming a hub for readers thanks to two new independent bookshops that opened this spring in downtown Fredericksburg. Novel, on William Street, is a store focused on building community. Tales & Tails, on Charles Street, is all about third spaces and, of course, dogs. The Advance visited both stores and today gives you a look at their owners, their approach to business, and why our region is more than large enough for both.
